magic to Do

how does karL end his summer filled with an itm11 class of word, excel, powerpoint plus plus and a playshop musical theater class of singing, dancing, acting plus plus?

reader: how? how?!? how!!? [excitement rising]

by singing dancing and acting in a musical about word excel and powerpoint [plus plus]. thanks to blueRep.

met the cast and crew of blueRep's microsoft-ala-the-Wiz show earlier. and i got a lot of catching up to do. but it was really fun learning steps and choreo and lyrics and melody and the gangsta-microsoft-word role [named Will-I-Am] at the same time. i need lots and lots of practice.

the opening song is from pippin, a musical that i do not really know, only heard of. but the song is really nice and the steps really funny, not really easy... way way far from the choreo we have for our playshop musical where we basically extend our arms and do some stage walking here and there. learned about the mesh, the weave and the galaxy moves thanks to pom. plus the whisk and a whole lot more.

we've got magic to do, just for you...
we've got foibles and fables to portray
as we go along our way.
-from pippin.

here are some lines from will-i-am word's word wrap:

am the shizzle word processor in the hood
i'm on top of the world and man, it feels good
now i'ma tell ya lotsa stuff has changed from befo'
if yah need help writing sumthin ima show ya some mo'

haha, kakki and shark describe the revised lyrics as nakakabobo. needless to say. i'm pretty sure this show, this script, this whole thing will reach bill gates. i just hope it's for the right reasons. i can't wait to see the kids that we're doing this for. woohoo

finished past nine and passed by metrowalk in ortigas. found out that music avenue [i heard it's an r&b place] is already open, i've been waiting. i hope i can check it out this friday, it's gonna be phi fresh fridays' last week next week.

also passed by shang along the shaw blvd flyover crossing edsa and i found out that you can actually see the very room where we do playshop rehearsals every other night. and the very people inside the room, well not very clearly but it's just that we do pretty weird things inside that room like peek-peek-and-bump-our-heads-on-the-wall stuff. but then again, isn't that what playshop classes are for? to dance like no one is watching, sing like no one is listening, and be totally mindless of what others think when performing... ehem, enough.

lisnin to blower's daughter by damien rice. it's closer's theme song [where natalie portman is a stripper] and i've been dying to know everything about the song, wow.finally. it is one of hide and seek's bonus material on dvd, tito bong's watching. he says it's a real thriller. i'll watch it some other time.
sortof readin california pizza kitchen and greenwich pizza stuffs for itm11
feelin kinda sleepy but i still gotta do two brochures

*you guys seen closer? i'll talk about it and the great song some other time. and yeah star wars opens today, as i type. the geeks who've been camping out for at least two months now are finally getting what they want.
