playshopping. 5 of many

three songs were rehearsed last tuesday, three more today. and much like what i thought of merrily we roll along, this musical sounds real good as you go along and listen to it and sing it over and over.

my first impression of both musicals weren't that good. forgive my seemingly lack of taste, but now I realize both are pretty impressive. especially when teacher allan gives each of the four voice groups a different note to sing for the same friggin line. haha and the songs stick in your head and you wish rehearsals happen every single day...

but it doesn't. after realizing we are ahead of schedule, annoying allan introduced us to this acting thing. it's not a game, more of an exercise. he calls out an emotion, then a name, then the person who owns that name is supposed to show the emotion to everyone as he relates to a chair. yeah, pretty funny when you think about it but damn was it hard when it came to getting angry. hehe he had to call me like five times before i got it right...

i actually didn't get it right. but i had to go earlier than usual for my first itm11 long test. missed the riot and the after-class stuffs our playshop class does.
