to Ogle google

it's finally finals!

but before that, let me just put here my admiration for google. yes, google. some of the companies i admire tend to have negative traits

you have coca cola selling unhealthy softdrinks yet it remains the most prized brand in the world

you have starbucks selling ridiculously expensive coffee yet you can see it everywhere [gotta love that the onion headline: "starbucks opens nth branch inside starbucks restroom"]

you have mcdonalds selling fatty burgers and krispy kremes [or gonuts donuts] selling fatty donuts but they take pride in serving billions

you have microsoft selling all it can sell by making sure no one else can sell them yet you gotta admit there's no better word processor than word

you have san miguel selling beer with its owner amassing haciendas yet there's oktoberfest

and then there was google. those two guys sure are big now. i used to laugh at the simplicity of their homepage [those two Os]. it's that very trait i highly admire now
but really, i only wanted to talk about google now for one thing- google print. that feature where you can search for books and actually read them online. its the real online library. although your reading is still limited [i was searching for harry potter books that way i might not need to buy the seventh one; much to my dismay hihi i dont like harry potter that much anyway], it sure is a start. cool
but then i figured, there's google scholar. then google earth. then froogle. then gmail. then google talk. then blogger

yeah, all thanks to google. years ago i thought yahoo was far better. but who cares
it's all about the here and the now. for now

back to finals
